The Future of Driving Experience in 2 minutes
Research Done
Through initial background research of secondary sources and market research, we generated a timeline analysis to visualize existing trends.
Research Findings
Digital Driver
People trust human drivers but lack understanding and trust of autonomous systems. So we developed a digital driver with humanlike reactions, awareness, and interactive capabilities. Novity as he is known is very customizable strengthening the user's connection to the vehicle.
Trajectory Control
What will change in an L4 vehicle? Well we are proposing a Trajectory drawing and selection user interface replacing the steering wheel. Users will be able to operate the vehicle anywhere in the cabin. The use of a Touchscreens leverages existing mental models for familiarity and allows videos and games to be played while Novity drives.
Cabin Arrangment
Some most joyful conversation happens in the vehicle, but the back row is often neglected. Therefore we decided to add Swivel seats for face-to-face communication maintaining a level of intimacy even when there's less passengers in the vehicle. On top of that the central hub, is designed to have rotating shelves and a screen, providing equal access for all users physical and digital needs.
